The third quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in France. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 133K in mid-July. Downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, settling at around 78K in the last week of September. Active users remained robust, starting at approximately 8.2M and ending the quarter at around 7.9M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads at around 91K in early August, before declining to approximately 38K by late September. The app's active users showed a slight downward trend from 4.1M at the start of the quarter to 3.9M by the end.

Google Earth had consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 15K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a gradual decrease from 116K in late June to about 98K by the end of September.
